D1 Training will launch the new location in Norwalk on Saturday, Oct. 30, the company announced.
The gym will be located in the SoNo Collection shopping center, and it will be run by local entrepreneur Todd Hittle.
Hittle will operate the location with fitness professional and general manager Kathleen Cofrancesco, the company said.
“I love that D1 not only provides high-level training to elite athletes but applies those same methodologies to help people at all levels to achieve their individual fitness goals," Hittle said in a statement. "D1’s scholastic programs are so great because as kids learn how to train and improve their performance, they also gain confidence and self-esteem, which gives them an edge in sports, and also in life.”
The fitness center will offer four different age-based training programs:
- Ages 7 to 11
- Ages 12 to 14
- Ages 15 to 18
- Ages 19 and older
D1 will offer group workouts, personal training and team training for athletes.
According to a representative, the Hittle and Cofrancesco plan to open additional locations and Fairfield and Westchester counties in the next few years.
